2 Month Old Baby With Purple Dotty Rash?

1st of all my son has had 1 runny poo a day since his 8 weeks needles including the rotavirus drops, he has been to a doctor who sed to increase his fluids to keep him hydrated which ive been doing. 5days ago my 11 week old came up with purple flat spots on his legs. I took him straight to the hospital, where they did blood tests and started antibiotics through a drip just for precaution incase it was meningitis like they suspected. After 5 failed drips the 6th 1 they got blood and it came back clear. Then he developed a rash on his hand. They did another blood test and nothing came back so they did a culture test on it. My son was in hospital for 25hrs and no fever, lots of wet nappies ect. So he was alowed to come home and they put it down to a viral infection which they said let it run its course. I got a call the next day saying his blood grew staph but its so low they thinkk its contamination and his fine and just bring him back if the rash gets worse or any vommiting or a temperature. I wasnt happy with this so i told them to fax the info to my sons doctor. I went to teh doctors and he has put my son on antibiotics for precaution just incase he has staph and it wasnt a contamination. The rash on his hands was from him clenching his fists cos all teh marks equal up and the purple has faded but his whole body looks like when ur cold and you get the red rash looking type marks. The doc is also saying its viral because there is still no temp and baby is happy and feeding and sleeping fine.
Where could this rash come from?? and why does he have diarrhea?? I dont understand and im scared they have missed something, i know all teh bloods have been tested but im still worried.
Has anyone gone through this??could he have a bad reaction to the rota vaccine or would that have shown up in the blood??

Delivered Baby Vaginally 1 Month Back…..bowel Movement After Each Meal?

Its been 1 month since I had my baby vaginally. For the 1st 3 weeks I was taking a laxative daily, so was pooping 2wice daily. After I stopped the laxatives, I seemed to have started having normal bowel movements, but for the past 3 days, I have to go after each meal (so basically 3-4 times a day) – no diarrhea though. What could be the problem?
Also, I am passing too much gas!!! Pretty much every 15 minutes. Is that normal 1 month after delivery? Hasnt my digestive system returned to normal?

My 5 Month Baby Can Only Have Breast Milk. She Is Allergic To Formulas. Does Anyone Have Any Suggestions?

I have been breast feeding my baby for about 5 months now. I wanted to introduce a formula and haven’t had any luck. I gave her Similac Advanced and she broke out in a rash in every crease of her body. I gave her Similac Soy and she threw up for about 4 hours and then had nasty diarrhea. I have tried to give her a hypoallergenic formula, but I can’t force her to swallow it. (it smells horrible, and I’m sure it tastes worse). I have no problem with continue to breast feed my baby if that is what she needs, but I’m worried my milk supply is decreasing and I have no alternatives. Does anyone have any suggestions or can relate?

I introduced the Turkey with Vegetables baby food on Monday night.( He also had squash w/zucchini & peas that day, but the turkey was the only new thing he had Monday that could have hurt his tummy)
He started having diarrhea Tuesday afternoon and now it is Wednesday night & still going on. He also has a horrible diaper rash from it. I have been using Desitin, Vaseline, Neosporin, Vitamin E, but it seems like every time he poops it just irritates him more. I also have given him oatmeal baths & I am rinsing him in the bath instead of wiping him.
How long should the pooping go on before I should worry that it is more than his stomach being upset?
Anymore ideas for the diaper rash?

4 Month Old Son Had Diarrhea Can You Help Me Know What To Do?

My son will be 4 month old on the 25th of march, i noticed that he had diarrhea on tuesday or wednesday and he’s had them ever since,but today is the worst he woke up at 8am and had a poopy diaper then,and 4 more by 12:30pm, that is when i called his 24 hour nurse line through his insurance and they told me to do what i have already been doing which is giving him pedialite,so they told me to take him to his doctors which i did yesterday and they told me nothing just that he’ll be alright when she did nothing to check him besides look in his ears, and so i called his doctors nurses line and told them what his insurance nurse said and what had happened yesterday at the doctors office and all they could tell me (3 almost 4 hours later that i called them) is if it gets worse tonight take him to the hospital or wait ’till tomarrow to bring him in and they close at 12pm, I am not getting straight answers on how to help my son besides giving him pedialite,so i want to know if anyone out there has any experiance and brains enough to know what they are talking about and to help me please, this is not easy dealing with a cranky baby who has the shits, it’s bad enough today where his grandma was changing his diaper and he farted and watery pooped on her Help!?!?

My 12 Month Old Daughter Has Had Diarrhea For 2 Weeks.?

Okay so Monday will be 2 weeks since my daughters 12 month well baby check. At that visit everything was fine, she got immunizations and a 1/2 dose of the flu vaccine. She also started on whole milk that day as my pediatrician told me to do. Since the day after the appointment she has had diarrhea every day about 3 diapers of it a day and has lost 8 ounces. She at first loved the milk but now refuses to drink it and refuses formula and 2% as well. I did take her back to the doctor for this and he said her stomach sounded like a flu bug and give her pedialyte, no milk of any sort then when the stools gets better start back on formula. He said if it was a milk allergy it would cause constipation and vomiting. She has also had a slight cough, nothing major and runny nose. I just realized she is also cutting a tooth. She is usally a little piggy and eats all day and now she really has no appettite. So I am just worried, I mean does a flu bug really cause diarrhea for this long and I mean how long can she really go without her milk. She drinks the pedialyte but I feel horrible. She is not my roly poly anymore she looks so skinny. Do i contribute it to the shots or teething or milk or what and why is she refusing any form of milk? What do I do here?

Five Month Old With Diarrhea.?

My son has had diarrhea three times today, would this be caused from teething?
It’s not coming out of his diaper and it’s not alot. He’s not fussy with it, no problems eating or anything, and he’s not acting sick.
I gave him some pedialyte, but I just want to know if I should make a call to the ped. or just continue giving him pedialyte?
Also I know people say not to use Oral Gel anymore but does anyone ever use it and it actually help their baby, I use hylands teething tablets sometimes they work and other times they don’t even phase him.

8 Month Old Has Diarrhea. When To Take Back To Doctor?

I took him to the doctor Wednesday for the diarrhea and an ear infection. He told me to give him pedialyte for 24 hours. I tried but my son would not take one swallow of the stuff i even tried the flavored kind still nothing. I have to feed him so i have still been giving him his bottles. He want eat and of his baby food all he wants is his bottles but not 10 minutes after he eats them he will have a diarrhea diaper. Should i take him to the emergency room? His doctors office is closed for the wkend. I can’t tell if he is having wet diapers because of the diarrhea. I also am scared to go to the hospital because of the swine flu. Help !

3 Month Old Baby Dark Brown Watery Stools?

My 3 month old baby is having dark brown watery stools, for the past couple days I haven’t changed anything.. When he was 1 month old he had a blood in his stools, which the doctor told us it was dairy? I stopped dairy and 3 weeks went by and nothing changed, then they said it will take about a week even though its been past that. So I did some research and stopped taking my iron pills. And his stools cleared up right away.. I told his doctor and they said no you need to take your pills its not that its dairy??? I still haven’t had dairy, here and there I will have some foods that contain dairy and his stools are fine?
But now there like diarrhea. And I don’t know why. I did give him a little baby food of pees but that was about a week ago? Could that be effecting him now.. I honestly don’t think its that. He acts perfectly fine, eats good. I only breastfeed
