My 5 Month Baby Can Only Have Breast Milk. She Is Allergic To Formulas. Does Anyone Have Any Suggestions?

I have been breast feeding my baby for about 5 months now. I wanted to introduce a formula and haven’t had any luck. I gave her Similac Advanced and she broke out in a rash in every crease of her body. I gave her Similac Soy and she threw up for about 4 hours and then had nasty diarrhea. I have tried to give her a hypoallergenic formula, but I can’t force her to swallow it. (it smells horrible, and I’m sure it tastes worse). I have no problem with continue to breast feed my baby if that is what she needs, but I’m worried my milk supply is decreasing and I have no alternatives. Does anyone have any suggestions or can relate?

I just got a stomach bug the other day, I was vomiting about every 20 mins and also had diarrhea which all lasted about 12 hours or so. It’s been about 24 hours since I started feeling a lot better, but now I just feel kind of blah and the few times I’ve gone to the bathroom it’s been diarrhea. But nothing like before. So I don’t know if I should attribute this to my hormones or still being sick. Basically what this all boils down to is that I have a grandma sick in the hospital and a friend who just had a baby last night in that same hospital and I want to go visit them but I’m not sure if I’m still contagious. I haven’t gotten to see my grandma in there yet because I’ve been sick and I figure today would be a good day to just go and visit everyone at once but I don’t want to risk getting anyone sick. What should I do?

catch him to take to vet, cannot do it! He sits on my porch now after he finally came to eat and eats very well now, after he started eating I got him some amoxil and giving pedialyte,1 tsp daily, he still has diarrhea but not as watery, His only problem as far as I can tell now is he has a stiffness to his walk, i suppose this is why he wont leave porch, during his sickness he only ate a few times but drank some, he hid and slept alot, I talk to vet , he cant give me answers without seeing him but has helped some, does anyone know now that he is improving (It seems) why he would have stiff walking problem? It looks like he is limping sometimes, walks very slowly, goes up and down steps very slowly,He has been chasing baby rabbits all spring, but he got so sick and I have no idea what happened, he seems better except for the stiff walking problem?? I am 40 weeks and 1 day 70% effaced and one doctor says I am dilated to a 3 but could have made me a 4 because my cervix is so giving and another said 2 cenemeters is being “generious”. I am at a -2 station and one doctor made that sound good well one said it was still pretty high. I am so confussed. I need to have the baby before Tuesday morning or I will have to have another c-section. Thus the reason I think one of the doctors ismaking my progress sound bad. He never even told me how effaced I am. Now that I have gotten that off my cheast, how bad or loss does the diarrhea have to be before it is a sign of labor coming? How long after it starts will labor follow? I heard 24 hours. I also lost my mucus plug on Monday.

I have a 4 month old lill girl and lately for the past 2 weeks she has been drooling and chewing on her hands and the past week she has been sleeping crappy, she will wake up several times during the night and just whine and if I put her suckey back into her mouth she will go back to sleep but than back up in an hour and half and I do this repeatedly for the whole night till about 5-6 and than I give her a bottle and even after her bottle she till seems restless… and another thing is that she isn’t eating as much as she use to. Im giving her almost 6oz of formula and fruits and veggies. the whole day today she has drank like 4 1/2oz of her bottle and she wont finish them. Anything that comes near her mouth she wants to stick in her mouth.
She don’t have a fever nor diarrhea so I dunno.. so my question is what did your baby do when he or she was teething?? and does this sound like she is teething? and she has been spitting up latley more than often!! I don’t really see anything on her gums yet!!

My sister was prescribed Demerol for post c-section pain. But she’s a breast feeding new mommy! The baby has been in the hospital for 3 days now with vomiting, diarrhea, and dehydration. She’s also lost almost a pound and was only 6 pounds to begin with. She’s only 8 days old today. They’ve just now put her on formula, and are having my sis pump and dump. IF this does turn out to be why she was such a perfect baby who doesn’t wake up at night and never cries (yes, that was sarcasm, there is something wrong with a lethargic baby) what lasting effects could she have?

The doctor prescribed Nystatin and the info sheet I got with the prescription said it caused nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or stomach upset. Please tell me, those of you who’ve used this with your babies, that these side effects do not occur very often…makes me almost not want to give it to her! If these symptoms did occur with any of your babies, how bad was it, and what did you do for it? Health food store did not carry gentian violet, by the way. Thx!

My Turtle Might Have Diarrhea? Read Plz?

Well for the last two weeks my turtle has been pooping out light yellow tannish poop almost like small chunks of ripped paper. Lately i changed my turtles diet, i used to feed him blood worms everyday, but now i feed them only a few pellets every other day and i mostly feed them veggies such as bak choy and baby snow pea leaves. Ill add more variety soon. I know in a change of diet it causes different poo but is this normal or is the poo diarrhea?
