Question About Baby Poo (sorry)!?
2009 November 8
My baby’s poo has just turned dark yellow, soft, and more frequent…like maybe she has diarrhea. She is also having a lot of tooth pain. She just got two teeth in 3 weeks ago, but it seems she’s getting another now. Does this happen during teething or is it something I need to call the doctor about?

It’s definitely a teething thing.
it can happen when they start to get teeth, but I would call your pediatrician to confirm.
This is very normal. When kids began to teeth all types of things can happen. Their gums can swell, they can run a fever(not anything to worry about) and their poo can turn a lot of different colors. Your baby will be in severe pain but you just have to be patient with her. And yes the diarrhea too! Good luck with that.
It does happen when their teething , i have 4 so they are all different. Make sure she is not dehydrated and if you think she is try mixing pedialyte with some juice but try to stay away from juices that may give her the runs .. apple juice is one that is bad for that. If she’s in alot of pain give her a cold cloth to chew on all babies seem to love that. I would only worry about taking her to the doctors if you find she’s dehydrating and isn’t drinking or eating well , other wise i wouldn’t worry much . Good Luck !!!
Very common during teething. Teething does crazy things to kiddos. Turns their cheeks bright red, causes temps, causes diarrhea…
If it seems bothersome to her or if you are super concerned, you can get her checked out by her pediatrician.
Good luck!!
My daughter was like that everytime she got a tooth in. She would also get an earache and run a high temp. The doctor told me that this was very normal. As far as the yellow color I’m not sure because my daughter was breastfed and it was always somewhat yellow until she was introduced to baby food. I hope this helps you.
it happens during teething to alot of babies. give her some water during the day to help with the hydration and keep an eye on her. if she starts having other symptoms or it lasts longer than a week or gets worse, call the Dr and at least talk to the nurse.
