My Wife Is 37 Weeks Prego. And Has Had Diarrhea & Contractions For The Past Week. Normal?

The doctors have treated her for dehydration and sent her home 3 times. They have not said if the two are related or what is causing the diarrhea. How does all this effect the baby?

This is normal..It happened to me, the contractions are most likely Braxton Hicks contractions, these are contractions that occur before the real thing they are preparing your muscles in your belly, If the contactions are close together for example every 10 minutes for half an hour then call your Doctor it could be the real thing
That sounds like she is going to be going into labor soon. My doctor told me that diarrea with or without cramps is a sign of early labor and with her having contractions ofcourse is another sign of labor. She might be dialating getting ready. I have diarrea on and off every other day or so and I am 36 weeks. I think that her body is just getting ready. Good luck and congrats 2 both of you. Baby should be comming real soon!
As long as she’s staying hydrated, baby is likely ok. They would tell you if it were otherwise. Loose stools are actually a sign of labor, so it sounds like it’s any day now for you guys.
These are prelabor symptoms, unfortunately they can go on for up to a month before actual labor.
Keep her hydrated thats all you can really do.
