Please take my advice. First get help for the diarrhea, which I can only assume you are or your little one will become dehydrated. Then on your babies bottom, use Crisco shortening. This is a PURE vegetable item and is more natural to the skin. It will form a barrier to bacteria and help to ease the pain of severe diaper rash. I always kept away from anything that was “manufactured.” My son always used to break out in severe blisters from cloth diapers and it wasn’t until I read in a “natural” baby care book about using Crisco that his butt cleared up and we never had any trouble ever again.

No, teething doesn’t cause diarrhoea. He probably has a tummy bug or he is reacting to something you are feeding him. If he is having solids, have you introduced a new food recently? If so stop giving it to him and see if that helps.
My daughters paed cautioned against attributing symptoms to teething. She said that most problems such as fever, diarrhoea, etc are caused by viruses and infections.
After 3 days of diarrhoea, you should take him to the doctor so that anything more serious can be ruled out. You also need to ensure that he isn’t dehydrated. I hope he recovers quickly!

Teething has nothing to do with diarrhea. Call his pediatrician. Sounds like he has gastrointestinal infection. If so, he needs antibiotics. Something is not right. Take him to the doctor. The doctor can also give advice or prescription on the best cream to use on his bottom.
Don’t let this go on. Babies can get dehyrated very easily and quickly. If you let this go on too long he could end up in the hospital.

If he has a lot of diarrhea he’ll be irritable from that too, of course, and it’ll help to give him some pedialyte to keep him hydrated. The butt paste is good I think, but I use desitin, the cream. Its really good at relieving the pain after a few changes, give that a try. Also try just wiping with warm wet paper towels, because my pediatrician told me that the wipes dont help with diaper rash.
