Yes, yes, and yes… if you’re having diarrhea you should drink a lot of water, because dehydration can cause a drop in supply. If you’re constipated, water will also help things along a little :) .
With any common illness like a cold or flu, continue breastfeeding because your baby will get the antibodies of the illness from your breast milk, but NOT the virus itself.
Some medications aren’t safe to use while breastfeeding – so ask your doctor before you take them.
Other than that, there’s absolutely no reason why you can’t keep on breastfeeding.
A fever will not ’spoil’ your breast milk or affect the nutrients.

I dont think its good if you have a fever. I dont think the others matter. I believe having a fever might affect the nutrients and stuff. Just like breast feeding if you had been drinking or anything like that.
I believe whats in your system will affect the milk but only if its something in you bloodstream that could somehow mix in with the milk.
Keep in mind Im not a mother or even a female so I cant say 100% but Ive taken a few biology classess and learned a good deal about how the body works and so this Is what I think is correct. Sorry I cant say for sure.

With nearly all common illnesses, you should continue to breastfeed your baby, unless you are on medication that prohibits you from doing so. Your germs will not be passed through breastmilk. Your baby will get the antibodies that you are producing which may prevent them from getting whatever illness you ahve, or reduce the severity if they do cath it.

Actually if you get sick, the virus in has been in your system before you ever notice any symptoms. So, whatever can be passed to the baby already has. Your breast milk has antibodies so it is actually better for you to continue to breast feed.
Wont back up? Google fever while breastfeeding……you will find tons of sites that will tell you the same

You can feed them during ill health
    However you should avoid taking…
Amphetamines, Antithyroid drugs, Aspirin and other salicylates, Atropine, Bromides, Cancer chemotherapy drugs, Cathartic drugs, Diet drugs, Ergot and related compounds, Iodides, Mercury-based drugs, Metronidazole, Oral anticoagulants, Tetracycline
Although just always mention to your doc/pharmasist that you are nursing before buying and you will be fine :)

yes it is okay… just stay hydrated and make sure you drink plenty of fluids
breastfed 1 son til 8 months
breastfeeding now although I’ve had 3 colds in 2 months
since you are most likely the main caregiver…ny illness you have will most likely pass to your child….. breastfeeding/breastmilk at least gives your baby the advantage of getting your antibodies to help baby overcome the illness
just don’t take oral decongestants as they can affet your milk supply
you can pretty much nurse through any illness as long as you take care of yourself and stay hydrated….

    Congratulations on your new baby!!
kudos to you for breastfeeding :)
you should never stop nursing your baby even if you ar sick. you will actually pass antibodies to your baby to boost his/her immune system!!
if you are on medications, please consult your dr. whether or not you should suppliment during that time. of course never nurse if you have alcohol in your system. hope my answer is what you are looking for!!

Unless you are taking some medication that would harm the baby through the breastmilk, then you need to nurse him/her.
I nursed my son through one heck of a stomach virus one time. He never got it. God made us to nurse our babies, and not just stop if we don’t feel well. Unless you are told by a doctor to stop, please don’t. Breastmilk is best. Think what they did before they had bottles and formula…they nursed their hungry babies. I think nature has a way of protecting the baby most of the time.

Depends on why you have it. I had a fever (mastitis) and I breastfed and then took meds and still was able to breastfeed.
Constipated? Yes…but drink lots of water to help.
Diarrhea? Depends on why you have it. Most likely you can.
As the doctor/pediatrician if you are unsure.
