The best answer would be to call your pediatrician. In the meantime, pedialyte is best, to keep him hydrated. If it continues for 24 hours, his doctor should see him, anyway. Over-the-counter medicines are not wise for children that young, unless prescribed by a doctor. Always read the label on ANY medicines before even considering them for children!

Keep him on the BRAT diet.
Bananas, Rice, Applesauce and Toast.
Also give him yogurt the bacteria in yogurt will help kill the badbacteria
Yes you can give them pepo but it depends on how much he weighs.

Doctors won't even prescribe anything for this, only for constipation. Funny how that works.
My doctor said that children rid themselves of sickness through diarrhea and that by stopping the diarrhea, you prolong illness.
Keep your son on the BRAT diet. Bananas, rice, apples, toast. This will help. I would call the doctor if it lasts for more than a couple of days.

You need to ask your doctor about what medicine's are safe for your 2 year old, but i highly recommend ginving him lots of fluids as he is probably dehydrated from the diarrhea.
